Beetroot for the win... although my family struggles with all but the small heavily vinegared variety. And yet the wonderous nutrient density... 💪

Your pre-compilation image is good fun. It'd probably look great as a collage without the text too. Bringing everything together is just as satisfying as isolating all the elements. 💚

Oh, yes, the vinegary and heavily boiled ones British people grew up with are not brilliant! Properly pickled beetroot (we have recently received some homemade pickled beetroot from Polish friends) is gorgeous, though. And I love the colour. The soup I made on Monday was a wonderful muted bright pink (yes, you can have a colour that is both muted and bright - I have decided).

I used to do a lot of layering in pattern designs when I was doing that regularly. It can look wonderful. And I love playing with the layering effects in Photoshop and Fresco.
